Actually, you can google for some real scientific studies - they show strength increase UP to 10% in BEST case - and probably not of creatine itself but because of water retention and placebo
All this is laughable for the money worth - this mean that you can increase your reps in gym by one or two per set, which certainly not make you much more stronger or muscular for that matter, sadly
And you will look like bloated shit plus there is also a risk to kidney damage for some people - ofc supplement sellers and advocates will never tell you all this interesting stuff
If you compete in a sport, every little bit helps. Even 1-2 extra reps, done over 2 months can eventually make you a little bit stronger compared to someone who does not take creatine. There are numerous studies on creatine done by independant researchers who have found ergogenic benefits to creatine consumption. Does it make a huge difference? Well if someone is a gymrat, he obviously will not benefit from creatine, because he has nothing to compete for. All he will get is some extra recovery from workouts, and a little bit of size gain due to water retention which could "IN THEORY" provide some extra muscle gain.
Nothing more, nothing less. Its not magic. Its just an ergogenic aid, like caffeine in your coffee.
And btw, i am not biased towards supplements. I consider them a waste of money for MOST people, and i consider their marketing absurd (like promising steroid like results) but facts are facts. We can argue all day if X supplement works or not, or we can just search ourselves to find the answer we are looking for
Years ago, internet was flooded with sites who pushed supplements right at your face, and claimed fake benefits in order to attract customers. Nowadays there are a lot of sites that provide free, independant to supplement companies, scientific research to supplements. You can do your research there, and find the answer you are looking for.
