world of P.T's?
#1
Man is there a more B*S* way to make a living than a P.T.?

I have even thought about going into this.....seems like an easy way to make a living. As long as you have  a good physique they punters will believe anything....but then you have to lie like a ***** every day to them.

My problem with the whole industry is:

1) I'd say beyond the very basics....everything else is pure crap. No need for most of it. Will not make any difference

2) It's purely an illusion that complicated is better so they can charge $$.

3) They have people attending the gym far too often. No need for more than once a week. Even less.

4) The things that really do work....they can't/won't do. i.e basic barbell, dumb-bell lifting. They are so s*** scared of injury/lawsuite they have to water it down and get people to do really Dumb *** with light weights instead.

5) They have to kiss the clients ass.....even when it means avoiding the truth.

The commercial gym business can only work if they have thousands of members attending the gym 3-6 times a week (becomes their second home) and they are constantly upsold.

From useless extra Burn and rip classes to supplements that do not work. It's all about money and not about health and fitness.

End of the day it's a lot simpler than people want to believe. If someone came to me and asked for fitness advice it would be simply:

Focus on about 6 core exercises
Track and Progress
Rest and recover
Eat at or slightly below maintenance.
Cardio can help a little but not essential
No supplements needed.

Presto 12 months later you are a different person.

Imagine paying $1,000 for that advice? They would have put in jail for fraud or something...yet it's exactly what works.

Yet we have multi billion $$$ weight loss companies that also complicate the hell out of the process.

It's a joke.....and yet 99% don't seem to see it

The fitness industry is based on lies and scams, but because the public figures are smiling and attractive, and claim to be so concerned about everyone's health, it gets a free pass
