Christian Bale in American Psycho on steroids?

Many people call Bale small in this film, tell me, does this look small to you?

This looks like a peak natty on the end of cut. 
In batman 2005 he looks like natty on bulk - 15-20% bf.

He dropped down to about 62kg for the movie the Machinist....he looked like a survivor from Aschwitz. See his ribs etc...He said he ate one tin of tuna and an apple a day for months..Basically starved himself.

Then for Batman he over eat for month and piled on the weight (fat) mostly. One stage they took the p88 and told him the movie was Batman not Fatman.

THe fact these actors can go form one extreme to another so quickly...says they will do anything to achieve the goal. So steroid use is included for some.

As you said, Bale is known for his "shape shifting" sacrifices in the name of his roles. In a new movie, he plays some fat vice president.
