Abstract Motivation from Internet Alphas
#1
Have you ever wondered why so many men are concerned with making YOU better. Why are they bothering you? Why do they care so much that you are a loser? Why do they want to fix you?

What's in it for them?

Well, they want to sell abstract motivation to an array of men struggling to satisfy the modern requirements. They want to make you emotional about your problems and therefore susceptible to the idea that by changing some of your peripheral habits (e.g., waking up early) you can become the ultimate alpha like them.

Self-improvement is beneficial because it works to an extent. Yet it is also a scam.

Where does the con element come from? From the fact that the advertised changes are often incapable of creating the dream lifestyle sold to you.

But this will never end. Feelings sell really well in this world.

In the past men were men. We didn't need to have specialists give us tips or get motivated to be what we already were.

I also believe most of them are motivated by monetary gain. If you think about it, you start watching a channel while looking for something. If the person sharing advice on that topic has good points you start watching other content from that person. But there's only so much you can share about a topic and people usually have only one thing that they become known for, that thing being bodybuilding, fitness advice, veganism, to name a few. Then, after a while they run out of meaningful things to share so they start making up bullshit but because they're already established as "authority" people will still give them likes and views and as long as they can make a buck out of it they keep the wheels spinning.

I've tried to figure out why such posts make me angry, but I can't put my finger on it. Sometimes I simply get annoyed by them, but at other times I actually feel a bit mad.

Do you think perhaps the anger comes from such drivel being so distasteful? I mean, who thinks of this stuff?

Ya know, I think, despite how much money some of these online fitness-turned-self-help gurus make, deep down they are desperate. That is, I think despite their perhaps successful position, they know deep down if they weren't such troubled souls they could've had normal jobs and blended in with everyone else.

But what do many do? Tell you how your job sucks and that perhaps you shouldn't attend it anymore; that your friends suck and that you should avoid "toxic people"; and that you deserve more in every area of life.
