The effort it took to get my deadilft up to 185kg just wasn't worth. As has been mentioned in here before, if I was on a desert island and nobody near me then I wouldn't be torturing myself getting my dead lift from 180k to 185k. I wasn't doing it for myself, but when you realise other people don't care either then it just makes the whole thing a waste of time and effort. I know that sounds negative, but chasi g numbers really us the biggest illusion in the iron game.

That my friend is a logic fallacy, that is unfortunately spread out faster than Sars virus, and the bad thing is that people fall for this all the time. I think hipsters started saying shit like that in order to make them seem smarter than they actually are by showing their "spiritual way of thinking" and how they dont give a fck about their image (yea right, go see how much their "poor" clothes cost, fucking hypocrites)

You will NEVER be in a desert island, or in the desert or in the moon. You will ALWAYS be here on earth. Those type of extreme examples are simply a way of some people to reduce your "inflated ego" because they feel threatened by your success. Dont let that type of thinking feed on your mind. Notice how those new age people are spreading photos on facebook with "motivational quotes" that are so shallow and stupid as a quote that make your eyes puke. And above all, notice how those people are 9/10 times miserable and jealous of almost every other human being and always blame others for their troubles

"yea you lift and get medals in powerlifting, but if you where in the desert your medals would be dust to dust lol" - go fuck yourself hippie and shove your nonsense mambo jumbo motivational talk up your...

And yes, i agree, trying to impress others is not the way to go. But you are human. Humans are meant to be competitive, and trying to impress others is in itself a form of competition (you being better than others, makes you have more resources, women, children etc) Thats not your phychology being bad, thats just the way nature and biology works.
