Jean-Paul Guillaume was natural when he won Mr Universe

(In the 80s, steroids were only vaguely mentioned, and claimed they were just the finishing touch.)

It's sad when people's lives are so shallow they have to start defining it by muscle mass.

I look at seem of these muscled up roiders....and think it was a sad useless life they lived. If only they put their energy elsewhere in life.

I guess it stems from one very basic human principal. The desire to be liked and admired.

Who was the best drug free bodybuilder of all time?

"Probably early Ronnie Coleman, who won the drug tested IFBB World Championships and spent the first part of his pro career placing outside the top 10 in competitions.

Another guy is an IFBB pro from the mid-late 1980’s naked Mike Ashley. I think he won either the Arnold Classic or the Night of Champions.

There was also another IFBB pro named Jean Paul Guillome, who was drug free."

Who-are-some-big-natural-bodybuilders
"There aren’t any. There are 0 “Natural” Bodybuilders who have weighed >210lbs with low bodyfat (competition-ready <8%). Even those who are lighter have probably used at one time or another. And once someone has used steroids they have undergone physiological changes that remain for life. So even though they aren’t currently “juicing” previous drug use has inalterably changed their ability to build muscle. All we have today are liars and cheaters. Want to see “natural”?..."

Did you read the book "Potential" by author of this site ? There was an elixir that was used in the late 1800's, some stores had trouble keeping a stock full, wouldn't be surprised if he used it. The best rule of thumb is : if he is bigger than me - not natty, until you achieve that yourself, obviously there are genetics in play too, but this rule will keep some guy's sanity in check when applied  Shy

There was another BB in the late-80s/early-90s that claimed to be natural ("He Just Said 'No' ", and yes, I believed him) but I can't remember his name. He was American, short, with blonde hair. He wasn't a mass monster, so like Guillaume, could get away with claiming to be natural.

I'll see if I can remember his name.

^ Thanks , but it's not him. Did Benfatto claim to be natural? Regardless, he had amazing shape.
