I would say that bodybuilders in the 70s (& 80s) looked far more aesthetic.

I read once that this was because steroids in 70s were legal, so there was access to high quality drugs. Whereas know, people have to take black market drugs where they could contain anything.

They were also taking speed to train harder and smoking weed to come down. I took half a cap of MDMA once and I didn't sleep the entire night, then I never ate the whole of the next day and felt like shit. So if these guys were taking speed a few times a week, their bodies must have been wrecked, but I guess on steroids you feel like superman.
