It's comical how movies often present men as "pigs" who only want sex and are afraid of "real commitment". This has been the case before Friends. Haha.
The man is always this nasty dude who "does not understand her". Only if he was a little more sensitive, things would have worked out great. When I was younger and unaware, I used to get mad at the dudes in movies who behave like that. I was asking myself why. "Dude, can't you see how awesome she is! If I was you, I would have done everything right!"
Ironically, things are different now. That narrative is basically a story for the kids and the naive adults. They want you to believe in it because many movies are powered by feminism directly or indirectly. Real life disagrees heavily.
Almost every time I hear about a break-up, it's initiated by the woman.
Not only that, but most of you are probably aware that according to the modern dating tactics, you shouldn't be "needy". Neediness is seen as a spark killer. If you press her, you will be judged harshly by pick-up artists and other sellers of hope. Yet to become the idealized man from the movies, you have to be somewhat needy. Otherwise, how can you "fully commit"?
In real life, men are treated as the disposable sex. If this wasn't the case, movements like the Red Pill, MGTOW...etc. would not exist. If things are going great and men are the culprit and the controllers, those teachings would serve no purpose. They would be trying to cure an illness that is not present.
In short, movies paint an image heavily opposing to the actual dynamics that we today.
