It seems to me that many men suffer from "hyper-rationality". There are lifters who spend a lot of time admiring dudes likes Athlean X and his way of attacking muscles from different angles. What those apprentices do not realize is that they are confusing [feelings] with [progress].
Example.
HarryTheBicepsFlexKilla wants to grow his delts like Jeff Seid or another "all natty brah". He starts watching videos of guys like Athlean X and who not. He adjusts the angle of his lateral raises slightly and starts to feel an insane pump in the area. He concludes that this will make a huge difference.
Except it won't, brah. 10 months later, Harry's shoulders are still the same despite the burn.
It's natural for the male mind to attack every problem with as much rationality as possible. You have a goal and you do everything you can to get closer. You consider those feelings a positive feedback and continue.
Cool. But it's all a lie. That feeling is a lie. That new routine is a lie. The new exercise is a lie. A lie that you keep telling yourself. You keep changing the variables that do not matter. Your mind is too stubborn to see that the whole paradigm is wrong.
I am sorry, fellas. But the mainstream values do not have the capacity to produce the change you are looking for.
Every mainstream blueprint for success DOES NOT work. It's all in the FINE print. It's all in the underground. The actual tricks and tips are never published. Everything that reaches the printers is fodder for the masses.

Part of the reason for that is that the average gym bro does not know anatomy, biochemistry , physiology ... the list goes on. They think of the body as a stack of legos, which is why you meet people at the gym doing 5 different exercises for their biceups, in order to "hit every angle bro" which is hilarious, but when you are young and or dont know about how the human body actually works you can easily fall prey to such bullshit ideas. The internet does not help in this at all, cause with Youtube you have access to millions of videos of (steroid) fitness gurus doing a gazillion of different exercises for just 1 single muscle group.
Couple that with the end of newbie gains, and the very slow muscle gains after it, and bam, our gym bro searches on youtube "why my shoulders are small". Then he finds 100 different videos of guys on steroids telling him bullshit reasons as to why his shoulders are small, yet their isnt. Ofc, the reason their shoulders are huge is because they do 5 drop sets with pink dumbells, and not because they inject trenbolone... smh
Tbh i dont think this will ever stop. Every generation, brings more gym bros, more steroid users, and more people to attract in your youtube videos. Nothing is going to change. Just like politics. Nothing changes, other than people in charge. Thats the same in the fitness industry. The small fish either gets eaten or evolves into a bigger fish in order to survive...

I know someone that understand anatomy and physiology and he still get tricked the reason people fall for it is government psychology brainwashing at the highest order . but yes I suppose that would help knowing such things like that .

I'm sure that every gym rat knows the function and anatomy of the biceps and calves, yet they still train their biceps like there's no tomorrow and calves like they will live forever. In other words, its not the lack of understanding of how muscles function and work that causes this, its the 'big tits in face effect' dominating the brain.
yes the ego and brainwashing . I dont know nothing about the subject but I still lift correctly .
