Damn, ya see?
Just see how far you can push out that first meal.
It is an awesome way to restrict your daily total calories.

Also to determine initial calorie intake, just multiply your body weight x 12.
So, if you weigh 150 pounds you should start with 1,800 calories a day.

I find his easy to do during the summer months. For whatever reason my appetite decreases when it warms up outside. I will usually go on two meals a day for about half the year. I skip breakfast and sip coffee or diet soda all morning. Around noon I will have some spaghetti or hamburger helper or a sandwich and chips. Maybe a burger even. Then I eat dinner around 6 or 7 and this could be anything. Literally lol. I don’t hog out on either meal tho. And that’s it. It works for sure. I do a lot of running and lifting every day pretty much tho. Like 20/20mins usually. I work out in my garage and run on my road so it’s not like I spend a lot of time going to the gym and getting ready and stuff.

i find it a manageable way to eat at a slight calorie deficit....

You need to cycle calories because if you try and eat say 2,000 per day i guarantee some days you will east 2,600+ and over time put fat on.

My best method is to have 2 days a week low calorie (<1,000) and the rest i go to about 2,000

IF helps you do this..that's all. Nothing special other than that.

IF i eat breakfast...it seems to trigger a bigger calorie day...i feel hungry all day.

Came down from 85kg to 77kg + gain in strength.

I find these number a little bit high...
I tried about 2,000 cal's a day and started to put weight on very slowly..

I had to go down to 1,700 or less to lose fat...I do not measure anything. Maybe my calculations are off?

I am about 175lbs.

I came down from 86/87 kg to 81kg on IF. I only do it on weekends and sometimes on Wednesdays, on training days I eat till I feel satisfied and try have more protein. Strength wise my three big lifts (bent barbell row, close grip bench press and front squat) have not decreased

That sounds great.
You are simply Fasting using a different protocol.
What you are doing is similar to a Fasting protocol referred to as the 5:2 protocol.
There is actually a book written on this.
The idea is to eat "normal" for 5 straight days and then fast for 2 consecutive days where you eat nothing.

Must say I'm still doing this and feeling good on it. I could prob eat less calories and drink less booze at the weekends for better results, but the reset of sixteen hours fasting (occasional 24 hour after a weekend booze up) really makes me feel energetic again.

If you think about it, the modern human is putting something in his system continually during his waking hours and so your body is constantly processing something. That can't be how the cavemen did it.

Why do you think there are so many diabetics? If it wasn't for the meds they take and the injections, they would be dead. Modern science has saved them while modern living would of killed them. The human body was never meant to release insulin every half hour. Ponder on that.

I think it is good for the body and mind to do a 24 hour fast every now and then. Apart from lowering cal's it trains you to go without food, ignore that hunger pang for a little while.

Most people as soon as they feel a hunger pang rush to the nearest food outlet and fill up.

Some do 48/72 hour fasts..i have never done that. Not sure it is necessary. Have to be careful you don't start getting obsessed with it

fastest way to shred a load of fat...

simple.
Go to 500 cal diet and walk 2hours= DAY...DO THAT FOR 2 WEEKS PRESTO. Go to maintenance. Simple yes. easy...not initially

Hey there, want to chime in with quick question. Do not want to make a new thread.

I never considering TFE (thermic food effect) into calories count per day.

Should I bother include it or just simple counts what I eat?

EX: eat 2000, get 2000 or 2000 - with TFE 10% = 1800? I been curious for sometimes now.

Actually I never factor TFE in. Should i do it? I want to maximize every calories I can get. Thanks in advanced.
