Whenever you see a fitness channel, there is going to be a certain list of videos,
- X muscle group workout
- Why you stay small
- Why you dont get big
- How to get big
- How to get big without getting strong (lol)
- How to get strong without getting big
- Cutting
- Cardio
- Steroids/TRT
- Creatine/beta alanine/etc
- What to eat, how to eat,why to eat
- Useless drama / hatred
- And the most recent, a day in the life
- Oh and my personal favourite, "back into basics"
- Seriously i feel like this is the most stupid title for a video to ever. While i get the idea of it, i feel its funny that someone has to state "back to basics" since if you follow a proper lifting program, you are ALREADY doing the basics. Thats just a clickbait title to spice views and make the audience feel like there is a change in material when i reality there is no change.
Seriously, thats all the material in a nutshell. All those videos, are constantly recycled over and over and over to the point that you simply dont even have to watch those videos, you already know what the guy is gonna talk about, how he is gonna present his idea, and the conculsion he is gonna make.
A good example is omar isuf, he recycles old videos . The only difference in his videos are the pixels (due to new camera) and a better experience in his video making.
Jason blaha, while i am a fun of his, talks about a certain topic for like 10 mins at least in order to monetize his videos, while he could conclude the entire video in less than 5 mins. This gets boring. But at least i have something to hear at while i am driving lol
The list goes on. All fitness channels are stale. The market was once huge due to monetization and it quickly got saturated.
i would much prefer if fitness channels could openly talk about steroids, their use, side effects etc. But due to Youtubes policy talking about drugs demonetizes your videos and youtube can even shut down the channel. This leaves Youtubers with nothing else to talk about other than recycle the same material and only add a little bit of spice here and there so as to make it seem new and interesting.
What are your thoughts?

Your observations align with mine.
There are several reasons for the formation of this phenomenon.
1. The Internet requires you to produce content indefinitely. You never reach a point where you just stop. People are used to never-ending digital stimulation. Eventually, however, you run out of things to talk about and start repeating the same stuff.
2. Those are the topics that attract the mainstream.
The market is beyond saturated.
Beginner stuff makes the most money because the pool is larger and the awareness is low. That's why a basic topic like "How to Squat" creates more views than something more specific.
I would add the following to the topics you mentioned:
How To Squat
How To Squat Properly
How To Bench Press
How To Deadlift
How To Deadlift Properly
Fix Your Squat with These Easy Steps
Fix Your Bench (Instant PRs)
Bigger deadlift today!

I never quite get it why Elliott Hulse and AthleanX are so popular because their videos are boring as shit - I hardly push myself to watch any of that crap
Plus they advocate supplements and other crap like training manuals and such - just look at the prices in their stores, plain robbery and ripoff for things that you can easily find on internet for free

Omar isuf, is such a fanboy of himself. He just regurgitates the big three lifts while trying to add in some humour. The only thing humorous about him are his tiny arms and oversized shoulders (he's on steroids and he still can't create a symmetrical physique). Talk about shit genetics.
Another one is Brian Alsruhe. Just spins the same wheel.
He is on steroids? Well i have been speculating him for a long time now that he may not be natty, but i cant say with certainty. He does not look like he uses gear, but on the other hand there are people who use steroids who do not even look like they lift so...
Even if he is not however, i think his size and proportions can be achieved naturally. Omar has been lifting for a very long time and unlike other youtubers he has done a lot of bulking during his lifting career.
His delts/arms look suspicious especially when he is cutting, but that could also be due to him filming after having a good pump. Who knows...

This year, we have a new trend. Neck training. Alpha destiny and kinobody have started promoting it, and lots of fitness youtubers have started critisizing them . Every year, we have a new muscle obsession. However, what makes me mad is how they market their idea. Saying that a huge neck makes you a man, is the worst thing you can say to a teen or insecure adult. First of, this muscle group is heavily influenced by androgens, because there is a large concentration of androgen receptors there. What this means, is that if someone uses powerful androgens (tren, winstrol, test etc) his neck muscles will grow, without direct training. A natty, will never ever grow from direct trap work. Period. Maybe get a pump, but no growth. The reason being is that you cannot add volume to traps. There are very few exercises to pick, and the weight you can lift is limited. The only way for a natty to grow his traps/neck is through indirect work. Lots of pull-ups (all the way down for full stretch) military press, behind the neck press,deadlifts...
Second, since when does a huge neck make you manly? For all i know, it makes you look funny, especially if you have poor upper chest/shoulder development. Even if you have proportion, it still looks a bit weird and not aesthetic (i have never heard of a woman say wow look at his neck muscles, i am so turned on right now).
I have a theory though. The guys promoting it are manlets, either short and puffy (alphadestiny) or slight above average height but very thin (kinobody). You cannot tell they work out when they wear clothes (at least thats what they think, and every insecure person thinks) so the only way to look like you lift wearing normal everyday clothes, is to grow muscles that pop out of shirts (forearms and neck muscles).
Now, we all know forearms are like calves. You are either blessed with great looking forearms, or doomed with mediocre looking ones. Forearms are also the most difficult muscle to grow, since its a muscle that is used repeatedly in your everyday life. Add in the fact that forearms have a very low androgen receptor density, it makes forearms the least likely muscle to respond to gear (it does, but not to the extend of lets say chest). So that leads us to the next, and best option, traps. They respond the best to androgens, and they pop out of shirts. Win/win combination . Add in some marketing, and we now have videos on "why your traps are small" or "How to develop manly traps"

He was always nuts.

Jason blaha is a fake persona. Anyone who does not understand he is telling lies about killing people is naive. Under no circumstance would anyone be allowed to talk about working for Feds, and killed several people aswell (in essence, revealing to a large audience of people that cia is linked to assasinations.
Now him competing in bbing, you can prove if someone has or hasnt competed because there is always a list of the people competing. A small amount of search reveals the truth.
Its a fake persona. I liked him for talking real in certain subjects, but lately his content has become boring. I also never understood why he never does a collab with other youtubers. Or as to why he had to build a homegym because there where stalkers in his gym. Every "celebrity" has had stalkers, even normal people sometimes get stalked.
Anyway, i dont believe anything on the internet anymore. The amount of misinformation and lies are astronomical, especially in drama youtube fitness community. Youtubers are meant to create a persona if they wish to climb and stay to the top. Normal behavior is boring. This is why you see drama shows and gossip realities all over the tv/internet but you dont see a lot of new technology exposure. Drama and gossip sells. It will always sell. Its human nature, to be intrigued or triggered by stupid/irrational behavior. Lets not forget that gossip has a biological meaning - it increases the bond between people, by "sharing" news about others.

You forgot to mention the threesomes ... ;)
Ironically, when I first saw him I thought he was just mocking other Youtubers with his made-up stories. Only later I realized that he meant it all seriously.
And then those annoying 10-minute phrases ... Recently, I listened to one of those while doing something else. Suddenly, I heard him repeating something lengthy he said earlier in that video. Maybe Youtube is just replaying his clip, I thought. So I turned my head to the screen to switch to another channel. But Youtube was not replaying his video. It was Blaha at 8min25s or so, repeating the exact same stuff from the beginning of that video.
What's tragic though is that he could have filled a profitable gap in Fitness Youtube: the ugly and old-fashioned, but knowledgeable and confident outcast who gives a shit about the shallow Fitness lifestyle. I mean, most guys in the gym look more like him than like Kinobody and Co. Some of his advice on lifting is even sound.
It's sad that he has essentially become the clown of Fitness Youtube.
