Anyone here a personal trainer? If so, what certifications do you have and recommend? And how do you like personal training as a career?

i couldn't stand it.
I spend about 1 1/2 hours a week lifting weights. I love my hiking and other sports. To spend 5+ hours a day training people would drive me nuts. They expect to plonk down a small amount of money, make no or very little effort and you turn them into a super ripped dude within 4 weeks. If you gave the the reality of what they can expect and the effort/(sacrifices needed) they won't be happy. Hence why many p.t. start devising B*S* workout/ diets. "If you run fast for 10 mins then do 33 squats exactly at 11:30 it has been proven to build 0.001kg more muscle etc..." So sad. + I see a lot of tubby P.T's Why would i ever hire anyone that doesn't look like where i want to be? (hence the ones that do take ped's) + you won't ever get rich doing it. Far too much competition and people won't pay for it. Now, if you introduced a safe pill that could shred 10lb of fat, build 10lb of muscle whilst eating piza and drinking beer all day ....you'd be a billionaire. (a safe legal one) |
