Exercises i could do in my home
#1
Yo', i'm a skinny guy who had been lifting for a while now, without much visible results (at 170lb  my max were 225lb bench press 275lb sqt ), however, i don't mind, i was very weak at first and now i'm confident i'm slighlty stronger than the average guy, that's all i wanted.

Right now i have not enough time to go to the gym, which is pretty far away from my home, so i've been doing some exercises at home: curls, push ups, and in the park i've done some pull ups. What else could i do to avoid losing everything? i feel my legs havent been hit at all, and my chest just doesnt feel the push ups.

What you can do at home depends on the type of equipment you have. What type of equipment do you have at home?

Not sure how heavy your dumbbells are. But if you have at least a couple of 50’s you could do front squats holding them at your shoulders and Romanian deadlifts, pistols(with assistance of a doorway if needed), jumping squats. There are literally tons of different movements you could do with just body weight and some dumbbells a pull up bar and get you a weighted vest. A long with some running and a good jump rope you can stay very busy. Go to rosstraining.com and buy never gymless. It’ll be all you will ever need if you don’t have a Barbell and plates to workout at home. Probably the best way to go anyway. You won’t obsess with numbers and can just put in good quantity work.

If push-ups are too easy for you, you can do dips or you can try harder variation or add weight (you can put your dumbells in a backpack or use weighted west but that one could be expensive)
There are tons of variation for bodyweight exercises to occupy yourself for years, just google it
And don't worry - you won't lose anything, I was hitting gym for more than 2 years, now doing mostly bodyweight for years (nothing fancy, push ups, pull-ups, dips some core and leg work) and I look even better than before, not to mention that I save loads of money from gym membership, and that is much more convenient because either I workout from home or in a park with bars which is like 200m from the place where I live
Someone mention Never Gymless, also check Solitary Fitness and Felon Fitness, they are very cheap yet they provide lots of good ideas for home workouts with minimum money and equipment

Your numbers are good for your bodyweight. You are significantly stronger than the average person. The average man cannot bench press his bodyweight.

The fact that you can't feel your chest during push-ups does not mean it's not activated. You can't physically do a push-up without your pecs working. If you want to feel your pecs contracting really hard during push-ups, imagine that you are trying to bring your hands together when doing the exercise. Another option would be to use rings and actually bring your hands together at the top.

For the legs, you can try sprints, Bulgarian split squats and one leg calf raises.

You may also benefit from working on your core with planks and such since push-ups and pull-ups are not particularly demanding on the area and will leave your spinal erectors weak.

I made something similar in my home, however i'm living in an apartment far away atm.
Good job, by the way, thats the way to go IMO.

@TruthSeeker  @Patrick johnson
It is very weird since in my gym i've had people bigger than me complimenting my numbers, but in the internet it seems i'm in the bottom of the barrel.

@Navigator
That sounds like a good idea, i'll try to do weighted push ups, and try to take truthseekers advice too.

Thanks for your time, everyone Big Grin
