The Forum doesn't seem to be showing on the front page of the site in mobile view, but it does on computer. On my phone, I have to click 'browse the site'. for the forum to come up in the menu.

Yes, exactly. maybe an "off topic" section would work for that and also to talk about anything else that don't fit in the sections we already have.
