About antisocial media putting your object of interest in your face, the other day I looked at the fakebook profile of the girl who treated me the worst in my dating life. She has social justice posts all over, and a graphic saying you are as pretty as how you treat other people. To others that is a like-worthy virtue signal, but to me it is a macabre, inside joke. Just like "respect being huge for her" was in hindsight too. The point of me saying this is that these women virtue signal publicly, but in their private lives they have no compunctions with treating men like disposable subhumans at their whim and leisure. It is a perverse hypocrisy, and something else you'll see from looking at their antisocial media besides their photos.
Dating being flawed before the internet is certainly true too. In general, you must look for existential validation outside of women. This is not a way to "win", but only what you must do to prevent yourself from losing totally. Consuming media about women, thinking about women, microcriticizing every detail of your looks, presentation, lifestyle and behavior for dating - these behaviors are both symptoms of an existential poverty, and a black hole that furthers it through opportunity cost and spiritual sacrifice. But of course, the compulsion and obsession we are cursed with as male mammals is the hindrance to actualizing this awareness.
PS. It's good to hear from you again a little bit TS, a sign of life from you is what I most wanted from popping up here again. I hope you have found or will find at least some joy this summer.
"You must look for existential validation outside of women" – a similar thought has often come to me when dealing with the craziness of dating.
The dating game is just so hard for me that even if I get a small win, it all goes away into the nothingness soon enough. Hence why I'd often ask myself why am I even playing and what could I ever possibly accomplish.
I have been rejected so many times that I'd probably forgotten more interactions with women than people have had in their entire lives.
One of the strongest reasons why people don't abandon the pursuit is that we can't see a higher purpose because women and family are directly connected. You can't have a family if all women reject you. You can't reproduce and live a more fulfilling life.
Hence why so many men try so hard to make something out of nothing. We are not really after "tits". There's more to the story. A family gives a purpose that is missing in the modern consumer lifestyle. But women are the gatekeepers to that purpose and if you don't satisfy their criteria, you won't get a chance.
I agree that you can't really win this game. It's damage control as you say.
The main reason why the world is this way is that society has moved away from God. We want to make our own rules. To be our own gods, but in the end, we all end up being miserable clowns who live a pointless secular lifestyle in one way or another. You can hate religion, but the alternatives aren't all that great as shown by the modern atheistic world controlled by TV show doctrines.
P.S. Thank you for your posts. They're really insightful. I will be posting again soon. Just stopped for a while to work on something else. My summer is not really all that different.
In fact, I got rejected by another woman. We went on a date, she agreed on a second one but then she suddenly became "Really Busy."
But I am done writing dating stories. I don't ever want to write a book like A Desert in the Sky. It's too emotionally draining.
