True. Although some form of orbiting has always existed even before the invention of the phone itself. But I do agree that it would be a lot more difficult to ditch/play someone if there was no texting. 

Another peculiarity that I forgot to mention is that anti-social media put your object of interest always in your face. You're stimulated to look at her photos...etc. This keeps the memory fresh and emotionally tweaks you in a negative way while she is partying with other men.

In general, the Internet did a lot of harm to the world of dating. Of course, daring was a flawed concept before the Internet. But now it's like cancer on steroids.
