Training while the gyms are closed - lemmings - 03-22-2020 Is anyone still training while the gyms are closed? I'm unsure what to do personally. RE: Training while the gyms are closed - Flip109 - 03-22-2020 Go to Rosstraining.com. He’s selling digital versions of never gym less for $1. I train in my garage 99% of the time so this has little to no effect on my training. RE: Training while the gyms are closed - Navigator - 03-23-2020 Yes I train at home or in a park on bars for years now (this weekend they even banned people from all public areas like parks, playgrounds so I am forced to train at home) Don't worry - you can still get effective workout from home with little to none equipment (there are tons of bodyweight exercises to occupy yourself for a long long time) RE: Training while the gyms are closed - lemmings - 03-23-2020 (03-23-2020, 01:02 PM)Navigator Wrote: Yes The issue I have with bodyweight exercises is that they are difficult to progress, and ineffective for the lower body. I also don't wanna shell out a truckload of money for home gym equipment when I know I won't be using it in a few months when the gyms reopen. RE: Training while the gyms are closed - Simple Simon - 03-24-2020 Some useful exercises to perform at home: - One legged calf raises on a block. In bare feet on 1/2 inch gum rubber mat Dumbbell bench/incline press if you don't have a spotter or power rack Dips between chairs RE: Training while the gyms are closed - Navigator - 03-24-2020 You can also check Charles Bronson Solitary Fitness and Felon Fitness - lots of good ideas for home training with minimal or none equipment, very cheap only a few $ or you can find it on net for free Some of the routines are very intese - you will be fried RE: Training while the gyms are closed - TruthSeeker - 03-24-2020 I would do: 1. Pull-ups 2. Dips 3. Ride bike/Run All outside because that "lockdown situation" will play a number on your mind too. Humans are not designed to remain in "hibernate mode" for so long.
