Outside gyms
#1
A few years ago, the city I live in acquired a couple of outside gyms which have been great. I never really follow politics or any of the things the city does. but for this I must give credit. These things are free, and they have a very nice set of equipment. And those machines really work. The weight is adjusted with a lever system which is the same in all the machines. I’m an average sized dude, and at least for me the machines are adjustable enough so that I can do all the exercises very well, only a couple of them cause a bit of pain. The weights go up far enough too, you can squat over 100 kilos, same with bench. There are some funny things too, for example seated bicep curl goes to like 60 kilos which is a little too much for me Big Grin

Lately one gym was opened close to where I live, and it has the following machines:

Vertical press
Horizontal press
Vertical pull
Horizontal pull
Squat
Multipurpose machine (hack squat, split squat and traps, yes, a strange combo)
Seated biceps curl
Seated triceps machine
Ab machine

I can do pretty much any kind of a split with these machines. Of course, my favorite has been biceps, triceps and traps and then to the beach Big Grin But seriously, you can improvise with these things too. Calves can be done with the squat machine; with the vertical pulley thing you can use different grips to target the exercise differently. As said, this is a game changer especially when compared to the outside gyms I have mostly seen in my country. Have you bumped into similar ones?
