Quitting porn
#1
Has anyone managed to quit porn? I've been trying to for a while now, but I'm finding it difficult because my sex life is sporadic at best. I know it's a damaging habit, but I don't know how to go about replacing it.

Treat porn as a addiction like heroin or cocaine. Thats what it is.

Treat it as anything less and it will always get the better of you.

I am now 5 months sober of Porn (before that I was on prolonged periods of no porn with unfortunate and regretful relapses every few months.

Your mind with seek to betray you and blatantly lie to you. When it comes to this dreadful and degenerate addiction treat your poisoned mind as the enemy - until you can give it time to heal. After which it will aid you in never wanting to go back.

However like a ex-alcoholic (always a alcoholic) treat the addiction with respect. Know that no matter how long its been since a relapse - its always there trying to get its foot back in the door.

For me personally it was a dreadful anxiety attack after my last relapse that help set me straight. I made sure to purposely feel disgusted with myself after every relapse I had over the last few years (its been years this struggle).

Once you have control of it, plan to never relapse again - masterbate, watch porn or watch soft porn.

Cleansing your mind is one of the purest things you can do for your health - both mentally and greatly physically.

Porn also twisted the image of how sex should look like - many women find stuff from porn repulsive in bed
Masturbation on other hand is just fine - it's a good stress reliever especially for people who don't have healthy sex lives
